10:06 Wednesday, November 10, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of over-the-counter health and wellness solutions provider Perrigo Company plc (PRGO) are down more than 13% in the morning trade on Wednesday after reporting third-quarter results, that missed the consensus estimates. Perrigo's full-year earnings outlook also came in lower than analysts' view.

The company reported net loss from continuing operations of $53.9 million or $0.40 per share compared with net income from continuing operations of $26.4 million or $0.19 per share in the same quarter a year ago.

Excluding one-time items, earnings were $0.45 per share, that missed the average estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters at $0.65 per share.

Net sales for the quarter increased 4% year-over-year to $1.04 billion, however, missed the consensus estimate of $1.05 billion.

Looking forward to the full-year, the company expects adjusted EPS of between $2.00 to $2.10. Analysts expect earnings of $2.46 per share for the period.

PRGO, currently at $40.98, has traded in the range of $38.20- $50.90 in the last one year.
