18:09 Wednesday, October 27, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Waste Connections Inc. (WCN) Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $114.4 million or $0.44 per share, down from $158.0 million, or $0.60 per share last year.

Adjusted net income in the third quarter was $233.1 million or $0.89 per share, up from $188.6 million or $0.72 per share in the prior year.

Revenue in the third quarter rose to $1.597 billion from $1.390 billion in the year ago period.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $1.05 per share on revenues of $1.94 billion. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to full year 2021, the company now expects revenue of aobut $6.110 billion, as compared to prior outlook of $5.975 billion. Analysts currently estimate revenues of $7.46 billion.

The company now expects net income of aobut $633 million, and adjusted EBITDA of approximately $1.910 billion, as compared to revised adjusted EBITDA outlook of $1.875 billion provided in August.
