08:41 Tuesday, October 26, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Uber (UBER) and Wallbox N.V. (WBX) announced a strategic partnership to simplify the transition to electric vehicles for Bay Area ride share drivers using Uber. Under the partnership, drivers using Uber will be provided with an easy-to-use and affordable one-stop shop for home charging solutions. The Bay Area was selected for the pilot program. If the program proves successful, the partnership will be rolled out to other regions in the US, Canada and globally.

Headquartered in Barcelona, Wallbox is a provider of electric vehicle charging and energy management solutions worldwide. Wallbox's charger, Pulsar Plus, is the smallest smart home EV charger in the U.S., and can be installed in homes, apartments, and other multi-unit dwellings.

Uber SVP of Mobility and Business Operations Andrew Macdonald said: "Making electric vehicle charging solutions available at scale is essential to achieving our goals and we are excited to partner with Wallbox on this mission."
