07:06 Monday, October 25, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Community Bank System Inc. (CBU) reported that its third quarter net income increased to $45.3 million or $0.83 per share from $42.8 million or $0.79 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Operating earnings, which excludes acquisition expenses and unrealized loss on equity securities, unrealized gain/loss on equity securities and litigation expenses, were $0.83 per share.

On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.81 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the quarter grew 7.8 percent to $156.9 million from last year. Analysts expected revenues of $152.47 million for the quarter.
