Parsons Wins $1.1B Task Order Contract By US Army Corps Of Engineers

Parsons Corporation (NYSE:PSN) today announced the award of a potential ten-year, $1.1 billion multiple award task order contract (MATOC) by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The new award will support USACE Huntsville in meeting environmental and munitions response challenges, enabling lands and waters to be safely and efficiently used for their intended purposes -- whether wildlife refuge, military use, or community development.

"For more than 20 years, Parsons has partnered with USACE Huntsville in the identification and recovery of munitions. We are committed to bringing the latest technologies to safely and efficiently deliver on their environmental remediation and munitions response needs," said Jon Moretta, president, engineered systems for Parsons.

The Chemical, Environmental and Munitions Response Unrestricted contract supports Military Munitions Response Program responses involving conventional munitions and chemical warfare materiel, Environmental Compliance and Remediation Services, and Other Munitions-Related Services to improve and protect the public and the environment.

Leveraging the company's expertise across environmental, industrial, and technology markets, Parsons will deploy an array of advanced solutions to remediate Munitions, Explosives of Concern, and Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste across current and former defense sites. Specific capabilities include geophysical classification, digital geophysical mapping (DGM), innovative drone applications, robotic munitions recovery, and underwater munitions identification and recovery.
