13:24 Thursday, October 21, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - The Georgia-based industrial company, Chart Industries, Inc. (GTLS), slipped 9% in the Thursday market after the company reported a narrower income in the third-quarter. The earnings also missed the Street view. Income from continuing operations in the third quarter was $15.6 million or $0.36 per share compared with $15.8 million or $0.43 per share in the same quarter a year ago. Excluding special items, adjusted earnings were $0.55 per share. On average 19 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters forecast the earnings to be $0.84 per share. The company reported revenue of $328.3 million, which missed the Street estimate of $348.21 million. Looking forward, the company has lowered its full-year revenue outlook to $1.31 billion- $1.33 billion from prior guidance of $1.38 billion to $1.43 billion, driven by project-specific sales timing shifts into 2022. Chart Industries also forecast the adjusted earnings to be in the range of $2.75 to $3.10 in the full year. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $3.78 per share on revenue of $1.39 billion for the period. The stock is trading hands at $165.74, down $15.68 or 8.65% from its previous close at $181.43. The stock opened at $168.21 in the morning. In the 52-week period, the shares have ranged between $80.00 and $ 206.29 per share.
