Didi Stock Up 10% On Reports Of Hong Kong Listing

11:55 Thursday, October 21, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Chinese ride-hailing company DiDi Global Inc. (DIDI), is up 10% on the NYSE on Thursday on reports that the company is considering to list its shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Since its very first day on the New York Stock Exchange, Didi fell under tight scrutiny by the Chinese internet regulators with allegations of mishandling user data privacy. According to a report by The Journal, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has asked Didi along with two other companies to explore their options in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Since getting listed in June, Didi lost more than 35% of the value of its shares till October. However, the company has managed to turn around in the last three weeks, and in the last five days, the company has gone up 13%. The shares are currently dealing at $9.33, up $0.71 or 8.25% from their last close at $8.62. The stock opened at $8.96 in the morning. Since its listing, the stock has ranged between $7.16 and $18.01.
