Shares Aemetis Inc. (AMTX) jumped nearly 9% on Thursday morning after the company reached a deal with Delta Air Lines for 250 million gallons of aviation fuel.

13:05 Thursday, September 30, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares Aemetis Inc. (AMTX) jumped nearly 9% on Thursday morning after the company reached a deal with Delta Air Lines for 250 million gallons of aviation fuel.

AMTX is currently trading at $17.71, up $1.39 or 8.52%, on the Nasdaq, on average volume of 5.6 million shares, above average volume of 906 thousand shares. The stock has traded between $1.96 and $27.44 in the 52-week period.

Aemetis announced that an offtake agreement has been signed with Delta Air Lines for 250 million gallons of blended fuel containing sustainable aviation fuel to be delivered over the 10 year term of the agreement. The aggregate value of the agreement is estimated to be more than $1 billion, including LCFS, RFS, 45Q and tax credits.

Sustainable aviation fuel provides significant environmental benefits compared to petroleum jet fuel, including a lower lifecycle carbon footprint.
