21:39 Wednesday, September 29, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Private sector credit in Australia was up 0.6 percent on month in August, the Reserve Bank of Australia said on Thursday - slowing from 0.7 percent in July.

On a yearly basis, private sector credit jumped 4.7 percent - up from 4.0 percent in the previous month.

Housing credit was up 0.6 percent on month and 6.2 percent on year, while personal credit fell 0.6 percent on month and 5.6 percent on year and business credit gained 0.6 percent on month and 3.4 percent on year.

Broad money rose 0.2 percent on month and 7.2 percent on year.
