The company reported third-quarter net income of $630.7 million or $1.72 per share compared to $474.8 million or $1.26 per share last year.

Revenue for the quarter rose 9.8% to $5.39 billion from $4.91 billion last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $1.30 per share on revenue of $5.13 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimate typically exclude certain special items.
