06:18 Wednesday, September 22, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Enlivex Therapeutics Ltd. (ENLV) announced the initiation of dosing in its placebo-controlled phase IIb trial evaluating Allocetra in severe and critical COVID-19 patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. The trial is expected to recruit up to 152 severe COVID-19 patients in clinical centers in Israel and certain European countries. Top-line data are anticipated in the second quarter of 2022.

Enlivex previously reported positive top-line results from phase Ib and phase II investigator-initiated clinical trials of Allocetra in COVID-19 patients in severe and critical condition.
