10:28 Tuesday, September 21, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Tuesday, ride-hailing service company Uber Technologies, Inc. (UBER) saw its shares rise up 8% in the early session of the market after the company issued an upbeat outlook for the third-quarter. Uber, in an SEC filing, raised its expected earnings before interest, taxes, and depreciation to a profit of $25 million from a loss of $25 million in the previous guidance. The company also said that the expected gross booking will also better its previous forecast. The CEO of the company, Dara Khosrowshahi, said "They say that crisis breeds opportunity and that&'s certainly been true of Uber during the last 18 months. Thanks to the team's tireless work we've not only grown our global leadership across both Mobility and Delivery; we've done so more profitably than ever before."

Uber also announced a partnership deal with GetSwift Technologies Limited where the users of the latter will have access to Uber&'s pool of drivers and vehicles in multiple countries. The service will be initially available in the United States and will be later introduced in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Australia. "Beginning in the US we will collaborate to provide a best-in-class customer experience that marries Uber's logistics expertise and global network with GetSwift's unique product suite," said Pooja Daftary, head of Uber Direct at Uber. The shares are trading at $42.92, up $3.13 or 7.88% from their previous close at $39.79 on Monday. The shares opened at $38.88 in the morning and have ranged between $32.89 and $64.05 in the 52-week period
