Support.com, Inc. (SPRT) shares are declining more than 38 percent on Wednesday morning trade after the bitcoin mining and power generation company Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc. (GREE) announced the closing of its merger with Support.

10:00 Wednesday, September 15, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Support.com, Inc. (SPRT) shares are declining more than 38 percent on Wednesday morning trade after the bitcoin mining and power generation company Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc. (GREE) announced the closing of its merger with Support.

As Greenidge commences trading from Thursday on the Nasdaq, support will continue to operate its existing lines of business as a subsidiary. As per the deal, the combined company will be led by Greenidge CEO Jess Kirt.

Currently, SPRT is at $11.80, down 38.22 percent from the previous close of $19.10 on a volume of 50,179,617. For the 52-week period, the shares have traded in a range of $1.62-$59.69 on average volume of 18,524,179.
