03:33 Monday, September 13, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Elbit Systems Ltd. (ESLT), a defense electronics company, on Monday said it has been awarded a contract of around $56 million to supply Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) capabilities to a country in the Asia-Pacific region, for a period of one year.

Under the agreement, the Israeli firm is expected to provide the Seagull Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) configured to perform ASW missions and the Towed Reelable Active Passive Sonar (TRAPS) systems, the company said in a statement.

The Seagull USVs will integrate Helicopter or Ship Long-Range Active Sonars (HELRAS) and will be equipped with the Elbit's autonomous suite, Combat Management System, and Satellite Communication capability, the defense electronics firm added.
