08:44 Thursday, September 9, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Burger King said it has permanently banned 120 artificial ingredients and counting from its food menu across the United States. The decision is part of the fast-food hamburger chain's efforts to offer real food without compromising on taste under the new commitment "Have it Your Way - the REAL way".

The new real limited-edition "Keep It Real Meals" will be available starting Sunday, September 12 at participating BK restaurants.

Keep It Real Meals menu include hand-select food and names by celebs. The Cornell Haynes Jr Meal aka NELLY is the classic flame-grilled Whopper topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo & ketchup, small fries and a small Sprite.

The Larissa Machado Meal aka Anitta is the Impossible Whopper with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard, small fries and a small Sprite.

Further, The Chase Hudson Meal aka LILHUDDY is a hand-breaded Spicy Ch'King with cheese, 4 piece mozzarella sticks and a 16oz chocolate shake.

Under its Royal Perks program, which was launched last week, members can get any of the Keep It Real Meals for $6 by signing up for Royal Perks via the BK app or https://www.bk.com.

The company's new commitment to 'Have it Your Way - the REAL way' is part of its long-term plan to remove colors, flavors, and preservatives from artificial sources, wherever possible.

Ellie Doty, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King North America, said, "We know our guests' expectations are changing, and they want to make choices they can feel good about. By banning these 120 ingredients from our food, we're offering guests an easy choice - delicious food made with quality ingredients."

The company also expects its offer of real food to set a standard for the industry overall.
