Shares of payment network company Affirm Holdings, Inc. (AFRM) are up more than 40% in pre-market trade on Monday on the news of its partnership with Amazon to deliver flexible payment solution to Amazon customers.

07:45 Monday, August 30, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of payment network company Affirm Holdings, Inc. (AFRM) are up more than 40% in pre-market trade on Monday on the news of its partnership with Amazon to deliver flexible payment solution to Amazon customers.

Affirm on Friday said its pay-over-time plan is currently testing with certain amazon customers and the e-commerce giant plans to make Affirm more broadly available to its customers.

Using Affirm, Amazon customers will have the option to split the total cost of purchase of more than $50 into easy monthly installments with no hidden cost, the company said.

"By partnering with Amazon we're bringing the transparency, predictability and affordability that Affirm provides today to the millions of people who shop on Amazon.com in the U.S.," said Eric Morse, Senior Vice President of Sales at Affirm.

AFRM closed Friday's regular trade at $67.90, down 2.97%. The stock is currently at $96.97
