11:54 Thursday, August 5, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of semiconductor manufacturing company Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. (KLIC) are up 16 percent on Thursday's trading as the company posted higher profit in the third quarter.

The company's third-quarter net income climbed to $113.77 million or $1.79 per share, from $11.15 million or $0.18 per share in the prior year. Income, excluding items, was $118.8 million or $1.87 per share.

Net revenue grew to $424.32 million, from $150.45 million in the prior year.

The stock is currently trading at $62.64, up $9.50 or 16% on the Nasdaq. KLIC has traded between $21.86 and $64.68 during the past 52 weeks.
