Duke Energy Q2 EPS $1.15 Beats $1.09 Estimate, Sales $5.76B Miss $5.93B Estimate; Reaffirms Guidance

Duke Energy (NYSE:DUK) reported quarterly earnings of $1.15 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.09 by 5.5 percent. This is a 6.48 percent increase over earnings of $1.08 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $5.76 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $5.93 billion by 2.90 percent. This is a 6.22 percent increase over sales of $5.42 billion the same period last year.
