18:26 Monday, August 2, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Horace Mann Educators Corp. (HMN) Monday reported second-quarter net income of $46.7 million or $1.11 per share, up from $30.5 million or $0.73 per share last year.

Core earnings for the quarter was $42.8 million or $1.02 per share, up from $28.0 million or $0.67 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter rose 10.2% to $347.1 million from $314.9 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $1.01 per share on revenues of $336.1 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Looking forward, the company continues to expect full-year 2021 core earnings of $3.50 to $3.70 per share. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $3.64 per share.
