Oil and Gas companies are going down in the morning exchange on Monday as the price of gas surged. Texas-based Sunoco LP (SUN) is also down 5%.

10:53 Monday, July 19, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Oil and Gas companies are going down in the morning exchange on Monday as the price of gas surged. Texas-based Sunoco LP (SUN) is also down 5%.

As the demand for gas increases rapidly across the country, the price of fuel also continues to surge. The prices are up at $3.05 on average, up from $1.97 a year ago.

The shares of the company are trading hands at $34.83, down $1.52 or 4.17% from their previous close at $36.35 on Friday. The shares opened at $36.03 in the morning and in the 52-week period, the shares have traded between $23.16 and $38.63.
