3D Systems Adds 10% On Deal With CollPlant Biotech

10:19 Tuesday, June 22, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Tuesday, 3D Systems Inc (DDD) saw its shares gain 10% higher after the company announced signing a co-development agreement to improve breast reconstruction treatments. The company joined hands with CollPlant Biotechnologies (CLGN) to develop a 3D bioprinted regenerative soft tissue that will mimic the patient's anatomy to help the body heal better. The company also said that since this procedure doesn't require any animal and human resources, it will be safer and more sustainable.

"Through this project, we're embarking on with CollPlant, we're exploring a novel application that could offer a new reconstruction treatment for breast cancer survivors. It's inspiring to be involved in a project that has the potential to have such a positive impact on the human condition," said Dr. Jeffrey Graves, president & CEO of 3D Systems.

The shares of the company are trading hands at $32.07, up $3.19 or 11.05% than $28.88 at the close on Monday. The shares opened at $28.28 and in the 52-week period, the shares have moved between $4.60 and $56.50.
