Shares of silver ore mining company Gatos Silver, Inc. (GATO) are down 4 percent on Thursday's trading. The company announced the appointment of Dale Andres as President with effect from June 1.

11:50 Thursday, June 3, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of silver ore mining company Gatos Silver, Inc. (GATO) are down 4 percent on Thursday's trading. The company announced the appointment of Dale Andres as President with effect from June 1.

Additionally, Andres will also take over as Chief Executive Officer for the Company's wholly owned Mexican subsidiary, Minera Luz del Sol, from June 1.

In May, the company posted first-quarter net loss of $1.6 million, lower than net loss of $16 million in the same period last year. Sales came in at $46.3 million, helped by higher metals prices and production rates.

The stock is currently trading at $16.43, down $0.84 or 5% on the NYSE. GATO has traded between $5.78 and $24.00 during the past 52 weeks.
