Shares of China-based recruitment company 51job, Inc. (JOBS) jumped nearly 14% on Tuesday morning after the company said it received a revised takeover proposal of over $5 billion from private equity firms DCP Services, Ocean Link Partners and 51job's Co-founder and CEO Rick Yan.

09:53 Tuesday, May 4, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of China-based recruitment company 51job, Inc. (JOBS) jumped nearly 14% on Tuesday morning after the company said it received a revised takeover proposal of over $5 billion from private equity firms DCP Services, Ocean Link Partners and 51job's Co-founder and CEO Rick Yan.

JOBS is currently trading at $69.62, up $8.29 or 13.52%, on the Nasdaq.

51job said it received an updated proposal from DCP Services Limited, Ocean Link Partners Limited, and Yan to take the company private for $79.05 per share in cash.

The company has formed a special committee to evaluate and consider the offer as well as other potential strategic alternatives.

51job provides integrated human resource services in China. The company offers online recruitment services through its Websites.
