11:19 Monday, March 22, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Support.com, Inc. (SPRT) shares are spiking more than 228 percent on Monday morning as the provider of customer support services announced a merger with bitcoin miner Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc.

The deal is expected to close in the third quarter. Upon conclusion, Support stockholders will hold 8 percent of the combined company's stock and Greenidge will own around 92 percent.

Currently, Support shares are at $7.32, up 241.92 percent from the previous close of $2.14 on a volume of 161,473,098 shares.

The stock has traded in a range of $0.96-$9.45 on average volume of 156,921 for the last 52 weeks.
