Jefferies' Clients, Employees and Shareholders "Do Good" by Donating $8,300,000 to 129 Charities

NEW YORK & LONDON & HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 01, 2021--Jefferies announced today a total donation of approximately $8.3 million that will result in 129 charities each receiving $65,000. Jefferies' firmwide global charity trading day effort will send much needed funds to accredited charities focused on advancing diversity and inclusion, supporting COVID-19 relief efforts, enabling Texas Relief, improving sustainability and the environment and other worthy causes.

Through the firm's "Doing Good" Global Trading Day held February 26, Jefferies' clients helped to generate $6.7 million in donated net trading commissions. In addition, Jefferies as a firm will donate $1 million directly, and voluntary donations from Jefferies' 3,922 employees totaled $580,000.
