|BEGINSUB|Asian Shares Mostly Lower As Trump Warns On Crisis|ENDSUB|Asian shares ended mostly lower on Wednesday after U.S. President Donald Trump warned the U.S. coronavirus crisis will probably worsen before improving.However, the downside was capped by vaccine hopes and an agreement among European Union leaders on a 750 billion euro ($859 billion) fund to prop up their coronavirus-hit economies.

|BEGINSUB|European Stocks Close Lower On Virus Worries, U.S.-China Tensions|ENDSUB|European stocks ended lower on Wednesday as the euphoria over an agreement on EU stimulus package faded and the focus shifted back to U.S.-China tensions, and surging coronavirus cases around the world.

|BEGINSUB|U.S. Stocks Finish Lackluster Session Mostly Higher|ENDSUB|Stocks fluctuated over the course of the trading day on Wednesday but managed to end the session mostly higher. With the upward move, the Dow reached its best closing level in over a month and the S&P 500 rose to a new five-month closing high.

|BEGINSUB|Stock Alert: U.S. Energy Rises 36% |ENDSUB|Shares of Houston, Texas-based U.S. Energy Corp. are surging almost 36 percent or $1.80 in Wednesday's morning trade at $6.81 despite no company-specific news influencing the stock.

U.S. stocks opened little changed on Wednesday as worries about rising tensions between the U.S. and China were offset by news that the U.S. government placed an initial order for 100 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine candidate jointly developed by Pfizer and BioNTech for $1.95 billion. The U.S. can acquire up to 500 million additional doses under the deal.
