NRG Receives FERC Approval For Direct Energy Acquisition

NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE:NRG) today announced that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved the previously announced acquisition of Direct Energy from Centrica PLC. The acquisition is expected to close in early January 2021, with a target date of January 5th.
