XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) is a token developed by Ripple Labs that is designed to be a fast, low-transaction-cost solution for cross-border payments and for facilitating other functions on the XRP ledger. The cryptocurrency was launched in June 2012 and has seen some huge valuation swings since its debut. In July 2025, XRP hit its lifetime high of $3.65 per token -- but it's seen a dramatic valuation pullback since. As of this writing, the token is down approximately 64% from its peak.
