Sagimet Biosciences Advances AURORA U.S. Phase 3 Trial of Denifanstat in Acne Toward Patient Enrollment in Q4 2026
Sagimet Biosciences announced that its AURORA Phase 3 clinical trial of denifanstat, a FASN inhibitor for moderate to severe acne, is on track to begin patient enrollment in Q4 2026. All clinical trial sites have been identified and a CRO has been retained, with patient screening expected to start in October 2026. The trial will enroll approximately 800 U.S. patients, including 450 adolescents, and if approved, denifanstat would be the first innovative oral acne treatment in over 40 years.
