HFM Appoints Former Libertex CFO as Chief of Staff After Senior Hires
Evagoras Kountouris
has joined HFM as Chief of Staff, according to a LinkedIn post published today (Tuesday). Kountouris joins HFM
from Libertex Group, where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief
Financial Officer for five years and four months. London's trading industry is coming home! His appointment
follows other senior management changes at HFM. Finance Magnates reported in

Papassavas became CEO after serving as Chief Information Officer. In
August, HFM named Mohamed
Elgayyar as Head of GCC and Egypt . Kountouris Held CFO Roles at
Markets.com, FxPro Before joining
Libertex Group, Kountouris worked at Markets.com as Group CFO, a board member
and an executive director for two years and eleven months. He previously served
as Group CFO at FxPro for five years. Earlier in his career, he worked at PwC
as an Assistant Manager in Financial Services for five years and two months. His career spans
senior finance and strategy roles at online trading firms, as well as financial
services experience at PwC. HFM Makes Several Appointments Across
MENA HFM has also made
several appointments across its MENA operations. In December 2025, the broker
promoted Michalis Papacostas to Regional Head for MENA. It appointed Jean
Nahas as Head of Category in the UAE , where he was tasked with overseeing
its licensed entity and Dubai office. Ahmad Qutaishat also joined as Senior
Business Development Manager after holding sales roles at ATFX MENA, VT Markets
and Equiti Group.
