Match-Trade Adds Retail Traders to MCP After Brokers and Prop Firms
Match-Trade
Technologies, the developer of the Match-Trader multi-asset trading platform,
has launched Match-Trader MCP for Traders. The remote Model Context Protocol server
connects Match-Trader accounts to supported AI assistants. London's trading industry is coming home! Other firms have also introduced MCP
integrations for broker and prop trading operations. Technology provider Leverate
launched an MCP server connecting AI assistants to broker CRM , marketing
and risk data. Prop firms FundedNext and The5ers have also launched MCP
servers. FundedNext’s
read-only integration provides access to account information , payouts,
trading performance and rules, while The5ers’
MCP connects its evaluation and Pro accounts to AI clients such as ChatGPT
and Claude. Match-Trade Brings MCP to Trading
Accounts Match-Trade introduced
an MCP
integration for brokers and prop firms last week, providing access to
Match-Trader Manager and Admin data through compatible AI clients. In August, it
introduced AI Skills for its Broker API and CRM API , covering broker data
and documentation for integrations, reports and dashboards. The new service allows
traders to retrieve account and market data through natural-language requests.
These include queries about open positions, swap costs, portfolio exposure,
pending orders and trading history. Traders can also use
the service to review closed trades, identify patterns in losses and find
positions without stop-loss orders. MCP Supports Trading Actions and
Controls The MCP server
supports opening, modifying and closing positions, as well as creating,
modifying and cancelling pending orders. AI assistants display the requested
action and its parameters, with compatible clients able to require trader
approval before execution . The service connects
AI applications to trading accounts through the Match-Trader API and separates
read and trading functions. It supports clients including Claude, ChatGPT,
Cursor and VS Code, with no separate software installation required. Access is managed
through tokens linked to individual trading accounts. Permissions can be
restricted by function, and tokens can be revoked. Rate limits apply at the
token and user levels, while API actions remain visible in trading history. Match-Trade said the
service does not provide investment advice, and traders remain responsible for
approved orders.
