Lehman's had an excellent past performance before 2007.
When looking at stocks you take past performance as an indicator, not evidence. You make the choice to buy _today_ on fundamentals.
You can absolutely invest in QQQ because you like the higher risk/reward. But you can't look at the past 5 years and say with _certainty_ that it will outperform SPY _next year_.
If the latter was the case every single person would be in QQQ. Or perhaps only MAG 7, no! Only NVDA.

MAG 7 is currently about 30% of the S&P though. Tesla is sloowly crashing out, but I guess there's a lot of unwinding around them for it to completely tank.

Bu bu bu but… AI? No. The only stocks I see with potential upside in the MAG 7 are AMZN and GOOG. Even GOOG didn’t get a boost on absolutely stellar earnings. It’s all priced in already.

If every girl I know is an indicator, B&N is headed for the MAG 7. I swear they sprinkle estrogen-activated crack in the pages
