I did my Bachelor’s at a Canadian university and then completed a Master of Science at Bocconi University. Just a heads-up: Bocconi is significantly more demanding than most North American programs — it’s extremely quantitative, fast-paced, and academically rigorous.
If you’re aiming to work in Europe, Bocconi is by far the better choice. If you want to stay in North America, U of T might carry more local recognition — and yes, it’s a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), which can help with U.S./Canada opportunities.
That said, don’t underestimate how well-known Bocconi is in elite finance and consulting circles. In high-level international finance, it absolutely holds weight.
