Strix Halo is the first example of the obvious next step for AMD. You will notice that the I/O die is really just an LPDDR based GPU with a small area of PCIe and USB I/O added on. There is no technical reason why the I/O die could not also be sold as a dGPU. This took longer than I expected to come to fruition but I suspect the reason is because AMD needed this new InFO-oS interconnect to make it cost and power effective.
The rumors are that AMD's next gen mid-range and down dGPUs will be LPDDR based. Expect those dGPUs to double as the I/O die for AMD's upcoming APUs. Going forward, monolithic APUs from AMD will only make sense on the low end well below the bottom of the dGPU.
This trend may also result in socketed RAM becoming less prevalent in the notebook market as well, as they are not as well suited for both the performance and the double or triple wide memory busses needed to feed the GPU.

If he knows the balance of his Bitcoin, I'd say he would know what it is by looking at the Blockchain. Maybe he wrote down the public address but just misplaced his passphrase / password to the USB drive.

If you really wanted to get the coins. Hire a guy to reverse engineer it, it's not that hard, you have the USB stick with that state and code right on it. Come on now; This isn't kindergarten.

Mine are those :
Bank sector: SPGI, NDAQ, ICE, FI and USB.
In my opinion, CVS future growth seems worth the shot.
NVDA price looks not too pricy for growth forecast

This story keeps being rehashed every year or so. Here’s a summary of what I remember.
1. He forgot the password to his encrypted USB drive.
2. He tried to guess the password 7 or so times, before it wipes it self at the 10th attempt.
3. He engaged a data recovery company to break in to this device.
4. The data recovery company was able to make a duplicate of the device or the encrypted data on the device.
5. A different data recovery company has come out publicly stating they’re able to bypass the security of this particular USB encrypted device and if Stefan wanted them to, they can unlock it and get to the Bitcoin.
6. Stefan replied he has a contract in place with the original data recovery company to try and get in, so he’s happy to let them keep trying.
It just sounds like to me, he doesn’t really need the Bitcoin. The first data recovery company can probably make a deal with the second data recovery company and get the Bitcoin.
Search the Googles. The very same story or article will come up.

Both options carry different risks. Ideally, you should always use a cold wallet. Especially since you can create one for free using a USB drive with Tails and Electrum, just look up how to do it.

They seize every object that emits an EM field or contains enough metal to be a USB key.
They then slap you with a court order to identify the object and relinquish the seed phrase.
But you're tough. You resist. You believed in BTC before anybody else.
You and your family go to a remote prison.
Again, unlikely? Sure. But hiding gold in a forest or field is functionally the same as a seed phrase ("something you know"). The cold wallet still requires physical security somewhere, no different from gold, just less effort.

The difference between a hot and a cold wallet is whether the place they are stored is "hot".
- A wallet stored on your laptop is hot
- A wallet stored on a USB stick is cold, until you plug it in, then it's hot
- A paper wallet is cold
etc, etc...
So to directly answer your question: the fact that it is hot or cold makes no difference to how you cash out. You send the BTC to an exchange, you exchange it for another currency (USD, or whatever) and then you withdraw that currency to your bank.

I wasn't aware of the app until I read your post. Sounds interesting, but I'd have to test it thoroughly. Personally, I would not trust years worth of receipts to a company or app that I don't control. If there's a way to do a backup or export of some sort that includes all the receipts, that would be an acceptable compromise. The backup/export would need to be in a human readable format of some sort so I wouldn't need the health app to access the data.
For me, I've been scanning qualified medical receipts to PDF since 2015. I name them "YYYYMMDD\_<provider/description>\_$###.##.pdf" and store them in a folder that gets backed up to my cloud storage and to a local USB drive. I also have a spreadsheet I use to track if they've been reimbursed or not.

So much misinformation here.
There's literally no reason why any x86 OEM (AMD) can't use third party fabs. Cyrix was a competitor in the 90s and they've always used third party fabs.
AMD Opteron had over 50% marketshare (in 4S+) and 26% server market share late 2006. Then they got back down to low single digits once Intel transitioned from NetBurst to Core.
Intel has its criticisms but also has huge contributions to the industry. USB, PCI-Express, Thunderbolt, SATA, NVME, literally Ethernet (IEEE 802.3 standard with DEC/Xerox), Bluetooth, and probably more.
