This setup is pretty risky if you’re counting on it to reliably cover your mortgage long-term. Almost half of your account is in JEPQ and another 23% in QQQI, both of which are covered call funds tied heavily to tech which is a great income now, but they’ll struggle in a big market drop because you’re capped on upside and can take a hit on NAV. Add in smaller niche ETFs like PLTY and ULTY, and you’ve got a portfolio that’s very yield-focused but not super diversified. Right now, your annual income looks good on paper, but payouts from covered call funds and high-yield products can and do get cut when volatility or market conditions change. If that happens, you could easily come up short on your mortgage for a stretch. I’d seriously think about spreading some of this into a more balanced mix portfolio and add a core dividend growth ETF like SCHD or VIG and maybe a total market ETF like VTI, even if the yield is lower, to protect the base of the portfolio. Your mortgage rate is low, so the goal here should be building a durable income stream and protecting capital, not just chasing the biggest yield you can find.

This does look like the portfolio of the meme ETFs talked about by people on reddit. I'd suggest talking to someone with real knowledge of the stock market, like a financial advisor if this is important for you.
Noone knows the long term of YM funds, but the overall so far doesn't look like their performance will last. I like to gamble, so I have a small portion, ready to sell, in ULTY because, why not. I would never rely on it. I have 2 main defensive funds, which your portfolio is lacking any kind of defense. I have SCHD and IDVO for market downturn. QQQI and SPYI are great in sideways and up markets. For prolonged downturn, we'll have to see.

Has anyone heard of/investing in ULTY? Etf pays weekly dividends. Been investing in it and a couple high volatility stocks (MRNA). Any helpful tips are appreciated

Stop with the ULTY nonsense. It’s a terrible idea to throw all his money at it. He’s a greenhorn and should be on the basics like Voo, Schd, sgov

You don’t seem to understand that ULTY is an open ended fund money flowing in and out doesn’t really affect the stock price. Them saying distributions are 100% ROC doesn’t mean what you think it does.

$70,000 in ULTY will get you about $1100 per week in dividends. $30,000 in MSTY should get you at least $2000 monthly. Put $300,000 in high yield savings (at least 4%) which will get you at least $12,000 annually until you figure out something better to do with it. All in all you'll have $7400 monthly before taxes. Set Stop loss limit sells for your dividend paying stocks so if for whatever reason they go belly up you only lose a few thousand instead of $100,000.

I don’t trust ULTY, MSTY, or PLTY. They have been hot, but I wouldn’t count on them. I like the others.
I would look at ECAT. 22% yield diversified closed end fund. 4 star rating with Morningstar.
Also WTPI. Different flavor of S&P exposure by selling puts.

SCHD has a distribution yield TTM of about 4% while ULTY has 120%. Can you help me understand how those distribution returns are so vastly different?
I’m new to the world of dividend investments, fyi.

I love ULTY myself, but you’re comparing apple to oranges. Both funds are valid for different goals as long as one does their research!
