Kung mag business ka pa, pwede ka pa malugi. Kung maraming kang itatayong business, pwede ka pa lokohin dahil di mo ma monitor lahat.
Pero kung business talaga, magtatayo na lang ng sariling relihiyon. O tatakbong mayor, congressman, senator, at presidente. Lol. /s
Actually having lots of money will buy you something more important - TIME (and happiness). Imagine if the eight of hours of work can be channeled to your passions in life. Ang saya diba.

Active trader desk couldn't explain to me why the order ticket allowed a trade to be placed the day prior (had plenty of margin available, utilizing only 45%) only to find I had been margin called the next morning. Embarrassing. All my positions in the green, mind you. I remember the days when T-2 was common for all.. but this rep told me that they don't give the customary notice any longer.. that their risk team can and does just close out positions regardless of your intent to move funds into the account within a certain time. That's really disappointing to hear.
I was able to address my situation by simply closing a small profitable position but annoyed the system allow the trade to go through when trades often need some time to elapse before a position is profitable. To end up offsides like that in less than a day was disappointing. But even more disappointing is that the rep on the Active Trader Services desk couldn't explain how it even happened. And further disappointing, that there is a complete unknown timeline the moment a margin call occurs, impacting a customer's approach to rectify. Do I have enough time to move funds to Fidelity, or not? It was a fairly small amount compared to my account size as well, and this guy made it sound like the risk team could decide on my behalf to close out some of my positions (which ones? again, who knows) AT ANY TIME. Changes of that happening? "No idea." I'm just glad I didn't lose money from this poor experience. I would like to think I had time to wire some funds over but since it was a complete guessing game, I took the option to close a position of my choosing, rather than the risk teams.
That situation shouldn't even happen to begin with but, if it does, I think a simple time frame given the risk profile would help with the economic aspect of decision making as to what action. I miss the days where it was more straightforward. What ever happened to T-2, Fidelity?

Hell yes people make money with 0DTE.
It takes more time to learn how to change your behavior and be profitable in them than people who turn you away from them were willing to put in.
You make money by selling credit spreads in 0DTE and taking advantage of directional changes. Trust me, it’s actually one of THE MOST profitable and repeatable strategies there is in options trading.
You make sure that you don’t put too much risk as a percentage of your portfolio on one trade.
A max loss of 1-5%. You take a small profit and exit at a set percentage of profit on EVERY trade.
For example, once your position reaches a gain of 2% you close the position. EVERY TIME. It doesn’t matter if you would have made a 50% gain if you stayed in. You set rules and follow them and feel the win of discipline and profitable trading. As opposed to trying to make as much as possible from every trade like 99% of the people in any market are doing today without any financial credibility or knowledge and blowing your account to below a dollar amount that is effective for any strategy.
This is coming from a licensed professional in finance. That is how you make money trading options, especially 0DTE. BTW it’s an income strategy. Compound the income. Take any number and multiply it by 1.02 52 times. Thats a 2% gain per week.
You’re welcome.

Look, there is a variable equation with the possible ROI on investments VS Savings on debt and I'm just gonna say this ONE FUCKING TIME.
There is no more peace of mind, than to be debt free.

First of all hello I guess. Mobile posting so probably shitty formatting, sorry about that.
I been accompanying the community for the last 3 months or so and I need advice.
See my wife's an incredible investor, despite working up to 60h on some weeks and being the main breadwinner of our family, she still finds time to study and averages ~2% return a month on our investments, it's enough return that if we were able to build up some money (+100k, she crunched the numbers) she'd be able to retire in a few months. I'm great at not spending money but clueless about making it any way other than working my ass off (I work 40h and do ALL house chores). Life keeps life'ing and chipping away at her reserves so we never get to see compounding interests. Considering that, other than her investments, our retirement plan is The Apocalypse and that she's gradually getting overworked which will soon take it's tool on her health, I want to find a way to make more money but obviously I don't have TIME, it's been hard already and I cannot see myself grabbing another gig.
Anyways, I've seen some people here make and lose money like that in a week. How would you guys approach this if you were me? Could trading be the way the extra money to "unstuck" us? Or am I totally over my head?
Thanks in advance, I'll read every comment and do my best.

ALL THIS TIME and y’all still don’t get it?? The USA has a 30% tariff on China so the person importing goods to the USA from China pays the 30%. China has a 10% tariff on the USA so whoever imports American goods to China must pay the 10% tariff. This is middle school economics and you can confirm with a simple google search. It’s unbelievable that you’re not caught up on this point but I guess the propaganda is working.
