$RKT surged, but I couldn’t roll in due to the limitations of a cash account. $SOFI hovered around the 21.x range: one cash-secured put (CSP) expired, while the other got assigned. $KO dropped to $68 and triggered an early assignment :/. I plan to wheel it next week, first thing. $NOTV was also assigned; not sure why I opened a CSP on it in the first place. $WBD finally broke out of its weeks-long slump; my six CCs were called away... Now it is at $13+.
As for $RKT, it was assigned when I began--wheel completed! Meanwhile rocket squeezed-just had to watch that baby flying out.

The pump starts the squeeze, its been pumped but there hasn't been a squeeze yet, I don't think. The pump needs to last long enough to force the shorts to cover. RKT doesn't have super short days to cover at 5.5 days, but it's very possible some squeeze action can happen. Also the stock just has its own merits even without squeeze potential. Owning options might be very risky but I think the upside vs risk on owning shares could be very appealing for most investors.

I would love that, I don’t think we could realistically cause a squeeze on this, but we could definitely profit on $RKT because some other catalysts will send it upwards

Long term I'm a believer in RKT. But there are serious short to medium term headwinds that give me pause.
New home sales are way down. Existing home sales are down. Rates are still high (limiting refi business), labor market is weakening, and there is zero chance the Fed is lowering rates next Friday.
None of that screams 'bet on mortgages' to me.

Congrats, you got in at a nice cost basis. Regarding the hype, RKT has dead for days now. Now it is trading like an "ordinary" business stock in the \~15 range. Obviously I could be wrong, but there's no hype value. RKT has a decent to good hypothesis as a longer term hold, in my opinion. Redfin is the leader and they are a one-stop shop for all things home money. So then I guess it comes down to fundamentals, valuation, belief in the company and long term thesis.

Got some shares of RKT but I didn’t buy it for potential short squeeze reason. I believe it’s a good long term hold until interest is cut , whenever that is and that day will come. However if it does squeeze, I will take profit and buy back in if the price drops after the squeeze.

Honestly, RKT. It’s been a meme stock lately, but the acquisition of Redfin and COOP (q4) makes it a solid buy.
The only reservation I have is the dilution of shares after the COOP acquisition.
