Honestly, whoever changed this policy for a 10 business day hold should be shot. By far this is worst and consumer unfriendly policy I have ever encountered from a bank
>EFT transfer from an external account? 10 business day hold
>Depositing a check to my CMA from a branch? 16 calendar days until the funds were finally released because I made the deposit at 2 pm PST.
>HSA reimbursement funds from a non Fidelity account? You guessed it another 10 business day hold
I have been burned multiple times because of this shitty policy, and I had to eat numerous return check fee because of this change . I can understand five business days for verification however, at this rate, it is easier and quicker to close on a car or house than fidelity to release my fucking money. Sure, I can withdraw money from an ATM internationally for free, but if I cannot transfer money to my CMA quickly , this benefit is beyond useless. I hate that it’s marketed as a one stop shop however Fidelity seems to have a problem with giving me my money in a timely manner. And 14 calendar days is not a very timely manner.
I just needed to rant because I want to punch a wall over this. I despise excessive bank holds.
