Good Day
I need to change broker and platform before I go live by the end of the year. I live in the US, I understand that limits good platforms / brokers. Reddit will not let me use the F word or the common abbreviation but I just trade (F). "usa/cad" type.
I consistently close in the green. It has been a long journey to get here; studying (not just reading) books from general self improvement such as "the 5am habit" to trading specific such as "the trading mindset" I even started practicing meditation. I have a good consistent strategy ( Modified turtle ). I have also learned good skills such as risk management and I stick to them. I have learned to squash my ego and I am still working on calming my fears. I still pull out early and second guess myself; I will not go live until I squash them also or at least get a reasonable amount of control over them.
My goal is to go live at the start of 2026. which leads to my current problem. I am using a (US) popular broker (F) linked with MT5. When I first started learning to trade I lost a lot and didn't notice how much I was losing in commissions because I was losing all the time anyhow. But then I nailed down my system and now win a good 80% of my entries, but my account was still loosing money. I lost over $500 dollars and won every trade. when I look in the history on MT5 my commission payout was 2-3 times my gain. when I went over the the brokers (F) site, I couldn't even find the commission payout for the entries I made without the MT5.
You can see by the screen shot what I am talking about, my last close I closed in the green +$24.94 but I was charged $288.31 in commissions or the one before that I closed in the green+$162.87 and I was charged $276.95. and That's not even a funded account. I am not going live with a broker that takes more commission then my gains, That would be stupid. I don't know how they can be so popular doing this. they clam to be the #1 platform for (F) and advertise all over. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?
If I am reading this wrong or doing something wrong please tell me. If you us a good Broker/Platform (Funded) Please let me know. I am used to the MT 4 &5. Remember I am in the US. I can't use a lot of platforms because of that.

When SWIFT drops MT messages in Nov 2025, ISO 20022 becomes the global standard; great for messaging, but settlement remains slow.
That’s where XRP fits: real-time, on-demand liquidity without pre-funded accounts.Messaging is evolving.. XRP solves the settlement lag that still follows.

PLTR, GME, ZIM, and MT were the best. Worst were BB and PSTH. I really wish I’d bought more PLTR and held GME longer.

Isn't it a very different type of holding? What problem are you trying to solve?

Will you regret it if you do catch the falling knife... If you're willing to hold the underlying should you be "put" the stock i don't think the risk is very high as markets will always go up over time, but patience is key here. Options traders don't tend to be very patient.. ask me how i know :-)

But in an extreme draw-down situation won't you most likely be better off holding ST/MT UST bonds or cash rather than some index that is now worth \~50%(minus the premium) less than what you paid for it?
If you are trying to protect yourself i would suggest holding cash and ST/MT govt bills/notes and forget about it.
If your curious my ETFs of choice are VT and then XHLF, VGSH, and then some lower $ of VTIP and VGIT.

But ISO200022 is optional.
The old MT format will still be accepted and will coexist with ISO200022 format until Nov 2025.
People are making wild claims as to what the new format will do, but since it only affects bank to bank wire transfers there won't be any impact on stock trading or GME.
It is interesting to watch how memes like this propagate.

In November 2025, SWIFT, the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication, plans to transition to the ISO 20022 standard.

This means the legacy MT (Message Type) formats will be retired, and the payments industry will officially begin using a globally shared language.

Old news, but good news.

As someone who's, in the Nordics, has worked on the MT to XML (XML files structures in accordance with ISO20022) can't really see why this would have an impact - in the short term at least.
They are changing from an old unstructured file format into a new structured one. It has benefits of course and more options for later use - but I don't see this as something related to $GME
