I’ll explain from a technical perspective since most people don’t know the first thing about quantum—
Quantum has been around for decades and had many winters. The latest round is just a bunch of nearly bankrupt companies that went public through recent SPACs. These companies were ALL on the verge of bankruptcy and quantum is really no further along today than it was years ago.
There is almost no commercial application for quantum. The technology is decades away and maybe never. And even if it comes, the only quantum algorithms that have been discovered is shors algorithm, which is for decryption. Nothing else.
You don’t have to guess what stage quantum is at. You can go use a quantum computer today on Amazon and pay by the hour.
Not only do you have to BUILD the circuit first, the compute power is barely enough to do simple addition. And half the time, it’s wrong 😂
So people that claim quantum is doing anything today, are 100% lying to you, including the companies like IONQ/QBTS. I have to applaud RGTI for being honest and telling us there’s nothing it can do as of today.
A lot of class action lawsuits will be filed, when this bubble comes crashing down finally after all the misleading and dishonest comments that these CEOs have made to pump their stock and cash themselves out… it’s nothing new.

Christopher Monroe, former chief scientist of IONQ and co-founder who has left the company in the last year, who invented the trapped ion system would agree with you. This is the most dangerous part. I see it every time. You think you're a genius because you're recovering, to then proceed to lose even more. I'd say, stay away and find another way to pay that debt. But if you wanna keep gambling, APLD, FUBO, and IONQ are looking good.

IONQ has the only growth model out there and will be dependent on the computers themselves to be able to scale.

The company is fairly richly valued for the current revenue, but if you look at other speculative plays like OKLO and IONQ, EOSE has a much clearer path to multi billion ARR.

I think some of the stocks are quite overvalued, like QUBT, RGTI and IONQ. You may find other opportunities with early stage companies like BZAI for example.

Nebius (NBIS) is an AI infrastructure stock akin go CoreWeave, within the NVidia AI circle... expected upside.
IONQ might be analagous to Rigetti, and between the two I see a lot more volume and liquidity on RGTI, over 100 million today, which indicates institutional money, not just retail. IONQ had about 20 million volume overall. All things equal, when 2 major players within an industry group are close, I would choose the one with most volume daily.

Looks like Oklo & IONQ sold off to $5, with investors likely feeling the same as you at that time. These institutions (and retail) play DA & merger news/pumps, and this is the dumping part.
At least it's visible here, that Cathie is slowly loading shares into one of her ETFs the last 2 days, and she's also one of the pipe investors. The free warrants don't look ideal to existing shareholders, but it gives one of the big investors downside protection, and a mechanism to infuse more cash into the business at a later date.
Ofc we don't know what happens in the future. Stock could drop to $5 next month due to lack of buyers, or they could secure a $10b military contract.

Ja das ist jetzt schon die zweite Welle die ich mit DWave+IONQ reite, ich bereue nur meine 6x hebel zertifikate am Freitag verkauft zu haben. hab damals auch in die SPACs investiert da ich auch denke, dass hier uU das Amazon Cloud Computing der 2040 werden kann.
Aber die Rakete im Moment ist auch hart unrealistisch.
