Thanks for the note! All great feedback and things I am trying to fix. Yeah, I admittedly need to balance out my portfolio and add some more holdings (like you said) to spread this out a little better. ET, EPD & FANG make up 60% of my portfolio, and the other 8 stocks make up the other 40%. I’m going to work to get this % more balanced.
The $140K cash hasn’t been sitting too long. I just keep it there vs in a bank account so at least I’m getting a little return vs literally none by leaving it in a bank account. It’s fully liquid to move whenever. Basically a savings account.
Looking into QQQI now.
Thanks for the info!

EPD is one of the safest investments out there today. Long term, stable contracts in a robust sector.

Nothing is guaranteed, but I believe ET and EPD are great plays right now. You can search them on google and read all sorts of articles and investment advice on them. They both pay ~7% dividend and have a strong track record for growth long term.

I work for EPD. Rock solid distribution company. Great job. Btw for those who don't know. For MLPs: units = stocks and distribution = dividend. Google the rest if you are interested.

Building up some cash, waiting for a pull back. Taxable accounts looking at SCHD, dgro, schg, VTI, EPD, BTI. Taxable accounts looking sheltered looking at jepi, jepq. Still thinking about spyi and qqqi.

Hi All!
I’ve recently joined this group and have been blown away by the wealth of knowledge shared here—it’s truly invaluable. I’m in my early 30s and have been investing since my early 20s. Currently, my individual portfolio is valued at around $1M, and I reinvest all dividends. In addition, I have a company 401(k) worth over $500K and a Traditional IRA with approximately $60K.
Like many in this group, I focus heavily on dividend-producing stocks, typically in the 4–8% yield range. At the moment, I have about $170K in liquid cash parked in a money market account earning 4%. I also hold a number of lower-yield or non-dividend-paying stocks as long-term positions.
I feel my strategy has worked well so far, but I’m always looking to learn and refine. I’d love to hear what some of the more seasoned investors in this group think—are there any changes or adjustments you would recommend at this stage?
If I had to name one regret, it would be not investing more aggressively during the COVID downturn. I did invest some, but not nearly enough in hindsight.
My portfolio:
ET, EPD, MSFT, PR, MO, LUV, FANG, AAPL, AOMR, AMZN
I look forward to the feedback and discussion! The guy that is making $1000/day in dividends after 37 years is a true inspiration! I am trying to climb the same mountain as fast as possible! I want to get there much quicker than 37 years though!
I look forward to the discussion!

I’m overweight ET and MPLX. But that’s because I opportunistically bought MPLX and ET used to be shockingly undervalued. IMO MPLX and EPD are the best managed MLPs.

I’m cash poorer than normal, if I wasn’t that’s a candidate where I’d put a small amount on long calls just incase a hit.
My investment strategy is generally bulk in deep value plays that have generally good dividends(think MPC, ET, MPLX, EPD since COVID) with about 20%-30% of portfolio doing asymmetric bets. This is one of the most asymmetric I’ve seen. Others are usually puts against the market or AAPL or STLA or similar and calls on GLD or SLV or similar.
