So many examples...
* Purchased $C after seeing it recommending as a value banking stock...a year later it crashed 90%.
* Purchased $DVN at 69.39 a share for its value and dividends...it crashed...and is at 33.24 a share now.
* Purchased $EDPFY...who later converted themselves to a green utility. It divided 20%.
* Purchase $IRT (residential REIT) and it has dived 18% in a few months. Thought it woudl be a consistent dividend/value stock.
Most of these are older picks...and I errored by focusing on dividends, pe ratios, and other trailing quantitative values. When I should have been looking at growth and the future. Ever since I've done this, I've done much better in my trades. A lot of value investors are getting burnt now by buying low pe stocks..they don't realize the garbage their purchasing.
