I'm considering making my first purchase of BC, I know I'm v v late to this party but I'm gonna dip my toes in just to say I have skin in the game, and yes a little because of FOMO.
I'm UK based and Kraken seems to be the most highly regarded platform here from what I've read.
If anyone can offer me any tips or advice about opening an account, making my first purchase and security ( I'll be buying on my phone and keeping on the platform untill I get to £500ish)

The only thing that puts me off buying Bitcoin is the uncertainty, I know everyone here is 100% in and sold in BC but what will happen, just for example if everyone bought up all the BC on the market and held for like a decade.. what would happen to the price if there was zero availability? Would it go to Zero?? Genuine question.

The blockchain keeps all your transactions. When you sell in the future, the system will know what you bought and at what price just by tracing the transactions and with ai in banking now, you cannot hide by parsing multiple wallets etc. Just do it the right way. BC is a two edged sword. Transparency for all means no cheating for anyone, which is why we trust it.

I'm not saying this in a rude/upset way, but I do mean it sincerely...
I feel like I explained myself perfectly well enough for the level of casual conversation that this is, replying in comments as I go about my day, and I don't even need anyone's approval here either. I don't care on an individual level if you agree or believe anything I say. I'm engaging people's questions to help spread awareness and inspire different thinking among the many more here reading and not taking the time to type. Over 77k people read this essay, the last time I checked. Answering you might help many others understand more fully.
That said, you can just reread my last reply. I said umbrella under AI, and was brief for a reason. Many reasons. The differences are pedantic, for the purposes of this convo in context w my lil essay. You should get it.
Are you actually trying to make the case that AmazonGo's attempted "JustWalkOut" system had nothing in it that could easily be considered under the AI umbrella (like machine learning)?
BC I know all the salient points of the essay could apply perfectly well to all the vast cobbled solutions dubbed "AI" (including machine learning) that have been applied to the myriad business needs out there.
Just for fun, I'll make another reference. Years ago, I spent some random casual time researching, debunking, and explaining to the UAP community how forgottenlanguages dot org works, and how it's not what they think it is at all. It's a novel little conlang /early llm model built by a postgrad whose passion project
never stopped. I can't stress enough that I enough what I'm talking about regarding complex tech systems.

Circl8ng back, just to be clear, the differences between items in that umbrella are many bc we understand ALL the nuance (supposedly), but you keep pressing as if I don't understand. This is circular and pointless if this continues further.

Depends what province you live in. The state I live in has no state income tax, so with deductions, I get my return down to 15%. In BC, federal and provincial income taxes are above 50% for very high earners and that’s not factoring in other taxes (property, sales, implicit taxes via government monopolies in basically every industry).

Try again. My effective tax rate in BC was 53%. In WA it’s 15%. Good luck.

Weekend update GME
**Superordinate (daily chart):**
We are still in the green structure, which we activated with the break of the 34.34 level. Our target levels are 45.906 to 51.830. In order to gather new strength to reach the target levels, GME may approach the BC correction level of 25.764 to 28.247, where we will most likely see a bullish reaction.
**Subordinate (hourly chart):**
We are in the yellow structure, which has not yet been worked through. The market had too little strength to reach the target at 37,677 to 40,508 and has therefore run into the BCK. Unfortunately, the desired reaction has so far failed to materialize and only the 667 level remains tradable. It is quite possible that the price will reach the BCK of the overriding green structure. I do not see levels lower than 25,764 in the near future!
**TDLR: We are in correction levels where we can expect a bullish reaction. At these prices it makes sense to acquire GME.**

Silver is mosty mined as a byproduct throughout history (since 3000 BC in Mesopotamia). However, if it is mined along with lead, zinc, gold etc. - it does not mean that every deposit of the main 'metal' has a similar share of silver. Roughly in one place you mine 10 tons of zinc and get 1 kg of silver as a byproduct and in another place you mine 10 tons of zinc and get 10 gr of silver. Supply of all these metals (which are mined together) is different for each metal and they will deplete differently as well.

I’m also in Canada and am in a very similar situation. I’m leaving a $100k job in the public service and will be going to med school. I’m actually planning to take a one year leave on absence from my work to ‘make sure’ medicine is what I want to do. It was a really tough call and money was also important to me as I’m older and live in an expensive area with a family. I’m not sure what province you’re in, but I think you’re underestimating the take home of family doctors.. in BC, net income after after overhead is closer to $250k and many docs make a lot more. I’ve actually spent a lot of time asking chat gpt to run financial projections of both careers and medicine does come out ahead. It is also a lot more flexible that working for government and has a higher ceiling and more autonomy which is what I really wanted. I was over the bureaucracy.
