I sold some of that too. I bought at $2.47 and sold $2.50 calls for $0.11.
You don't "lose" when the stock goes up farther. As long as the stock finishes Friday above $2.50, I made 5% on my money in a week. On volatile shit stocks I like buying right under the strike I'm selling at, it makes it more likely to get assigned and out.
The worse the stock, the more ITM I like to sell. Last fall I bought AVYA at $1.87 and sold $1.50 calls. It plummeted, I bought to close and dumped my shares for $1.50, making 3% for the week.
