REITs are sort of inherently mid cap so something like VNQ is an option. I buy RPV and it's my best performing US fund this year. It's pretty high turnover and semi high fee though so hard to recommend. But I like the extreme value tilt. Avantis does AVMC if you just want straight midcap with no value or AVMV if you want a value tilt.
