their instinct roadmap is shit. helios would flop if Open AI wasn't getting 10% of the company to commit to buying them. they make the best desktop windows PC and server CPU's. their gaming and embedded gpu's suck.
i think that's everything. they're basically impressive with CPU's because intel has been complete shit for the last decade. any overlap with a real competitor like nvidia or even apple shows how mediocre the company is. apple's m-series chips in laptops are way better than the strix APU line-up (AMD purposely avoids any comparisons to the "Pro" or "Max" M series chips from Apple). AMD is so weak in gaming that nvidia doesn't have to try anymore in that segment.
i'd say the most impressive thing about AMD is that intel failed and AMD was left over.
