Redditors (dis)like brands that they're (un)happy with as customers. What they don't do but should do if they're investing is take an objective and analytical view of the company.
People hated on HOOD because they thought they were conspiring against retail investors. HOOD stock has done well.
People hated on NVDA for their GPU pricing and availability of GPUs. They said NVDA was price gouging. NVDA stock has done well.
People loved DIS because of all marvel and star wars content. DIS stock has done poorly.
People loved LULU because they claim their clothes are better than anything else. LULU stock has done poorly.
The biggest one is people hate TSLA because Musk helped Trump get a 2nd term. The irony is TSLA bears providing the most bullish reasons for TSLA. They claim that TSLA is trading at their high price because Musk has a cult who eat up all his lies. So TSLA doesn't have to deliver on any of their promises to maintain their high stock price.

P/E of 124 lol. Shitty peg. I was wondering how a government titsucker like PANW could tank so hard after earnings. Puts on TSLA and Palantir should logically print in this environment. Bubble titsucker froth foam garbage stocks.

Solid. Closing my nvda long, adding to TSLA put. Looking good an appears to be heading down that path.

Robots don't get sick days, paid vacation, envy the boss (me) or try to fuck you up when they leave even if a NDA or Non-Competition is signed.
YOLO TSLA is not about money for me, is about justice and peace of mind.

At least what PLTR does with AI and surveillance is mysterious enough that a 384 P/E ratio could somehow be justified but we know what TSLA puts out WTF TSLA 340

I’ve been adding to my TSLA PUT position since close to the bag holder high of ~$460
NVDA I will be unloading tomorrow my long position with average of $120.
Will sit until technicals confirms up or down longer term trend, short term this looks like a big dump is coming.

The stock market has real fundamentals backing up the growth. The S&P 500 is growing EPS 10% y/y. The big tech companies are even better--well, at least most of them:
|Company|EPS Growth (y/y %)|
|:-|:-|
|NVDA|\+59.54%|
|AAPL|\+22.70%|
|MSFT|\+16.10%|
|GOOG|\+34.51%|
|AMZN|\+51.31%|
|META|\+6.88%|
|META (without tax-writeoff)|approx \+34%|
|AVGO|\+271.58%|
|TSLA|(-60.81%)|

Sold all NVDA, trimming TSLA. I have been in both for a long time, since when I first started in the market. So for me I have gotten all functional value from the company. When I’m looking at the market, I’m pessimistic given circularity in AI investments which I believe are mostly non physical. If there is physical proof of value I would keep my money in. But when I think about risk, I had to plan my exist. I’m definitely looking to put my money back in at some point in the equity, when it corrects again.

IMO Nvidia's P/E is insane, but the TSLA and PLTR valuations are absolutely looney tunes.

Shorting TSLA is the widowmaker, we all know its value doesn’t match its stock price. That’s why it won’t go down.

I’ve been experimenting with various backtesting tools, and they all share the same issue: the numbers look great on paper, but when you actually trade, it's a totally different story. Here’s the quick rundown of what I found:
* [**Tradi⁤ngView**](https://www.tradingview.com/) -> Solid for charting and idea testing, but you’ll need Pine Script if you want anything beyond basic alerts.

* [**Nvest⁤iq**](https://nvestiq.com/) -> This one stood out. Instead of coding, you literally describe your setup in plain English (like “buy TSLA if it breaks above resistance with volume”), and it generates a backtestable algo on the spot. Being able to tweak and re-test quickly without scripts felt way closer to how I'd actually trade irl

* [**MetaTra⁤der 5**](https://www.metatrader5.com/en) -> Rock-solid execution and automation, but MQL is not exactly beginner-friendly.

* [**QuantConne⁤ct**](https://www.quantconnect.com/)**\->** Extremely powerful backtesting across equities and forex, but it’s really for people who enjoy coding. Hard to get the most out of it.

Takeaway: Most tools either oversell simplicity or struggle to handle real-world strategies. But a couple, especially ones that use natural language, are actually starting to make trading workflows faster and less stressful. Speed is nice, but if the backtest isn’t realistic, it’s just a pretty graph. How do you guys balance speed vs accuracy

Hi all,
I am reading TR Lawrence’s book about the kaching formula and I am getting confused about the following:
1. How do I select stocks for this? There is not a low of info given on what exactly to look in a stock to select it, is anyone here using any scanners to find stocks and if so what is the method?
2. Once a stock is selected, what do I study in the charts? I know he mentions a few things but what exactly are we looking at those metrics and how are we selecting the price?
3. Adjustments- are there any more examples of adjustments, is anyone here following a strict rule?
4. Has anyone tried this on stocks like MU, TSLA?
Thanks for your help, any reading material you suggest please send it my way.

I mean I can’t stand Elmo and hope TSLA burns to the ground but they posted their highest-ever revenue last earnings. They still make a ton by selling EV tax credits, and their battery storage sector is expanding rapidly and are making a ton of money.
Add the fact there are a ton of Elmo stans who believe he going to mars and somehow his shit FSD taxi aren’t gonna be shit and a million cyber sex dolls are gonna hit the market soon, TSLA still has a ton of retail investors and too make brokerage firms are invested in TSLA in their retirement mutual funds or their etf’s.
Elmo also plugged back in with Trump and gov again so expect some kickbacks there. Nice tho on the comeback
