Hell, it's TSLA so it could happen, but I don't think you gave it enough time. And what's the break even on this? It's going to need to go well beyond $400 to pay for the theta. Should have sold puts instead of buying calls.

It's cheap for a reason...You made a leveraged bet on TSLA because of 'vibes'. It is what it is.

To a lesser degree, GOOGL, NVDA, sometimes MU, sometimes TSLA, but usually not all at once. AAPL represented about 80% of my trades last year.

Was looking to get some thoughts on my call I made before close today, posted it earlier and it rejected I guess I didn’t explain the trade well enough for the picture.
I took TSLA $400 Calls for 9/25 expiration, 10 contracts at .16 per.
My reasoning is because I was just looking at the chart and when zoomed out it looks like it’s following a perfect stair pattern right to a $407 key level by end of September.
It already filled the gap from that earnings fall but it seems reasonable that it’ll continue this uptrend right back up to recent highs. I’ve got a few key levels marked from before earnings and again that $407 area seems feasible.
Cheap enough premium seemed like a decent play but I’d love to get some feedback on what y’all think.
I’ll try to share the chart again hopefully it takes!

Honestly, I’d simplify this portfolio rather than keep adding to it. You have **a lot of overlap and too many individual/speculative positions** for the size of the account. I’d make VEQT the main core holding, then decide whether you really want the extra U.S./tech tilt from VFV and QQC—holding all three creates significant overlap. From there, I’d gradually reduce the small speculative positions like ASTS, ONDS, SLS, NOK, FLT, and some of the other higher-risk names rather than continually averaging down just because they’re red. Keep a smaller “high-conviction” bucket for individual stocks such as NVDA, MSFT, GOOG, META, TSLA, etc., but cap that portion of the portfolio. The biggest improvement would be going from \~20+ positions to maybe **5–8 meaningful holdings**, with the majority in diversified ETFs, and directing new contributions into those core positions instead of trying to rescue every losing stock. You already have some great winners; the goal now should be making the portfolio easier to manage and letting compounding do the work.

As a lifelong fan, I believe Nintendo is fundamentallty a great company and I am bullish for them (although it could be bias) but they’re likely not the best investment in the short term. I have held their stock for years based just on the principle that I like to invest in companies that I am big customers of, but in my experience, their stock (and many Japanese companies’ stock) does not print because many of these old school Japanese companies simply do not try to pump or inflate their stock. Toyota is the world leading automotive manufacturer, and have never laid off an employe for financial reaosns, but their stock does not pump like TSLA. I think it’s a very similar situation with Nintendo. I do think their stock will absolutely moon one day but it can be a long time. They’re a toy and IP company that currently happens to make video games and consoles

Aight I bought more.
I also believe Aurora could someday move into driverless cars and just leapfrog TSLA and Waymo because of their current technology and data.

Yes exactly! But the question is whether or not 150% of account size on a blue chip like TSLA, NVDA or PLTR is oversized.

As long as TSLA and SPCX continue trading at absurd valuations then I disagree that stupid money is drying up.
