Been looking around for real world beneficiaries of AI. Not companies that are flying because they lease out AI chips or purpose to fire all their people and use call taker bots. But ones that could actually use it to enhance what they do, and their business.
Found Radnet (RDNT). They operate 400 medical diagnostic centers. It’s where you go for your mammograms and any other scans the doctor orders.
They’ve begun using AI to read the X-rays and mammograms and things. AI is already proving to be quicker and more accurate. I presume it will be cheaper each day going forward as well.
Unlike a lot of AI names, the stock price isn’t pumped from hype. To the contrary, it’s down 25%. Apparently their routine business as a day to day test center was knocked down earlier this year with wildfires and weather in the states they serve.
Obviously its not great if their core business can be that impacted by the weather and variances in traffic. They’re claiming that was a one time thing. But it could mean getting an AI world stock at an old world valuation.
