Yeah, the “$100 at a time” goal isn’t a realistic one. I did the same thing when I first got into options trading 5 years ago, and it wasn’t really helpful for learning how to successfully trade them.
The real goal should be to be profitable more often than not, learn to determine when to close a losing position to mitigate losses, and especially, learning to close a profitable position and not be greedy. And learning how to plan your trades so you already have a determined entry and exit point based on the price action of the stock, understanding how the stock tends to move (as in what days of the week it typically moves up or down), etc. in my opinion, a lot of that stuff is really only learned through experience
I turned $200 into $1200 in a month using put credit spreads on NVDA doing this, and $200 into $1500 with naked puts on RAPP recently in 3 days. Though that one was obviously just a calculated gamble lol
