Don’t get me started. I’ve been in practice (cardiology) for 21 years and it’s sad that I’m a rarity it seems (I hope I’m wrong, every damn day!). CT coronary calcium scores leading to unnecessary stress tests and cardiac caths in turn leading to unnecessary interventions. Annual goddamn nuclear or PETS for no reason at all. PCPs doing unnecessary vascular studies leading to unnecessary LE angios and interventions. Patients questioning me for not doing more, it doesn’t end. Really very frustrating.
